How we handle your information
Meaningful Motion, LLC is a pediatric occupational therapy practice in Austin, Texas. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. In short: we only use what you send us to reply to you, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you request a free call, the form asks for your first name, email address, your child’s age, and your ZIP code or neighborhood. You can also choose to share a phone number, the areas you’re noticing, and a short note.
Please don’t include diagnoses or other medical details in the form. We’ll talk about those privately if you decide to work together.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without cookies and without tracking you across other websites. We don’t use advertising trackers or pixels.
How we use it
- To reply to your request and set up your free 20-minute call.
- To keep the website secure and working well.
We don’t sell your information, share it for marketing, or add you to mailing lists.
Who else handles it
We rely on a small number of service providers to run the website and deliver messages: Cloudflare, which hosts this site and delivers form messages, and our email provider. They process information only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry messages only as long as needed to respond and schedule, and we regularly delete inquiries that don’t lead to services.
Health information and Texas law
The website form isn’t meant for health information. If your family becomes a client, any health information is handled under the privacy practices we share with you at intake, in line with the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act (Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 181) and other applicable law.
Texas notice: health information that Meaningful Motion creates or receives may be stored and sent electronically. We don’t disclose it electronically for purposes other than treatment, payment, health care operations, or as permitted or required by law without your authorization.
Children
This website is for parents and caregivers. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from children.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to messages is limited to Alissa.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you sent through this website at any time by emailing alissa@meaningfulmotiontherapy.com.
Not for emergencies
Submitting the form doesn’t create a therapy relationship, and the form isn’t monitored around the clock. If your child needs urgent help, call 911.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and its effective date.
